Fantasy & Fern
Specialising in lifestyle product photography, I offer curated photoshoots to help support marketing campaigns for upcoming & released books. This provides you with the flexibility to establish the ambiance through setting, props, and editing styles. Photoshoots are tailored to accommodate the narrative you’d like to convey to your target readers.
When to choose lifestyle over studio photography
Studio photography is excellent for keeping visuals clean and simple, especially if the product has specific features you'd like to highlight.
In contrast, lifestyle photography can stretch further in conveying the atmosphere & setting of the book. Whether that's through props, lighting, location, in-situ images allow the book to speak for itself.
Lifestyle, or 'in world' photos can continue to project the narrative of the story beyond the cover & blurb ensuring that the book appeals to your target audience. 'Aesthetic' images can also do wonders for engagement and shareability on social media.

Outdoor photography
Perfect for more atmospheric reads, outdoor product shots incorporate an immersive feel, giving readers a glimpse of the world they're stepping into. This option focuses less on props, and more on invoking the feelings of the story.
Indoor photography
Indoor shots are an excellent choice if you'd like to tie in little nods to the story via props & environment. While it's great to blend in aspects of the cover, it's also a good opportunity to expand on what readers can expect from the story, using imagery that may not be represented in the cover. Here we can set the tone for genres such as dark academia, romantasy, mystery etc. We can create a setting that mirrors the world within the book.
